念音	He and Biton were the sons of Cydippe, a priestess of Hera.  Cydippe longed to see a beautiful statue of Hera at Argos, but it was too far away and she had no oxen or horses to draw a chariot to that place.  Cleobis and Biton determined, however, that their mother should have her wish.  They yoked themselves to a car and drew her all the long way through dust and heat.  Delighted with the filial piety, the priestess besought the goddess to give them the finest gift she could bestow on mortals.  And the reward Hera gave was: the two lads immediately sank to the ground smiling and looking as if they were peacefully asleep-- they died quietly in their sleep.
