“Where are all the monkeys?” the young lady chaperoning a group of children to the zoo asked an attendant.
“This is their mating season,” he replied. “They are all back in the cages.”
“Oh,” said the lady, then after a moment's thought, “the children are terribly disappointed. Do you think if they threw peanuts into the cages the monkeys would come out?”
“I don't know, lady,” the attendant replied laconically. “Would you?”
