A group of sailors were having drinks in a bar when one of them said, “I'll bet any of you guys that if you put a dollar bill under your hat on the table I can take it away without touching the hat.”
“Here's my dollar,” said one. “And here's my hat on top of it.”
The first sailor knocked on the top of table three times, reached under it and knocked three more times. Then he pulled out his hand and flourished a dollar. Puzzled, the other sailor lifted up his hat to make sure that his buck was still there. At that, the trickster quickly grabbed the bill and stuffed it into his pocket.
