四个女人的儿子
Four women were chatting in a hall. Fanny said, “My son is a priest. When he enters a
hall, people will greet him by calling him ‘Father.'” Gwendolen said next, “Mine is a bishop. Wherever he is, he
is called ‘Your
Grace.'”
Then Emma said, “Well,
I must tell you, my son has become a cardinal. Now, if he gets into this
hall, you will call him ‘Your Eminence,' won't you?”
Finally, Victoria said reluctantly, “Sorry, but my urchin is six foot six, with such big
breast muscles, such a fantastic fanny, plus such a graceful face and such prominent
gestures that each time he comes to a social gathering, all females are sure to
cry out, ‘Oh!
My God!'”

1. Fanny (芳妮) 是人名，fanny 是俚语，指「臀部、屁股」。
2. 在天主教会 (Catholic Church) 中，有 father (神父) 和 sister (修女) 之称谓，其上另有bishop (主教)、archbishop (大主教)、cardinal (红衣主教或枢机主教)，乃至Pope (教宗或教皇) 之职称。
3. 英文称呼高官贵人有 “Your Grace,” “Your Excellency,” “Your Eminence,” 乃至 “Your Majesty” 等近似中文「阁下」、「殿下」乃至「陛下」之称谓。在天主教会里，男的教士常被称为Father (神父) ，主教常被称为Your Grace (阁下) ，而红衣主教则常被称为Your Eminence (殿下) 。
