As a guest at Nelson's home, Robert found that Nelson kept calling his wife “Darling” and “Honey.” So he thought Nelson had really kept his undying or incessant love for his dear wife. “My friend,” Robert said in an envious tone, “your endearments show that you are never tired of her company.” This envious remark made Nelson pull Robert to a corner and tell him the truth: “It's not that I'm never tired of her company, but that I've long forgotten her name.”
