Two little brothers came to buy chicken ‘n’ chips at a fast-food restaurant. “Make it in three parcels, please,” they requested at the counter. “Three? Are you sure? You're only two.” The shop-assistant thought the two little ones had made a mistake. But they replied, “Nope, Mom also needs one.” This reply made all wonder what filial piety the kids had. But they immediately added, “Mom will munch it all if not in three parcels.”

两个小兄弟来快餐餐厅买「炸鸡薯片」。「把它弄成三包吧，拜托」他们在柜台的地方要求。「三包？确定吗？你们只有两个。」那店员以为那两个小孩子弄错了。但他们回说：「不耶，妈姆也需要一包。」这回答使所有人詑异：小孩儿们多么懂孝道啊。不过，那两个小孩立刻补说：「妈姆会把整个都吃掉，如果没分成三包的话。」
注：1. 在英国有许多店卖「炸鸡加上炸马铃薯碎片」，那叫“chicken ‘n’ chips”或“chicken'n chips”(= chicken and chips)。在美国则常卖炸鸡 (fried chicken) 加上炸薯条 (French fries 或 French fried potatoes)。 2. shop-assistant (商店助理，店员)，Nope = No (不，不耶)，have filial piety (有孝心，懂孝道)，munch (发出声音地咀嚼)。
