[J-214] Hither Together Wither
Ralph was rough and tough. He met Virginia through his friend Godwin.
He then invited her to spend a day in his countryside cottage. His
invitation brought about this interesting exchange of words between Godwin
and Ralph:
G: Why should you ask her to come hither?
Do you mean to hit her?
R: No, I just want to be with her.
She's such a flower.
G: What would you do when you're together?
R: Why, I'd try to get her.
G: My goodness! Do you mean to gather and deflower the
virgin? I'm afraid she'd rather wither before you're with her.

注:本笑话的笑点在于把 hither, together, wither 连结到 “hit her,” “to get her,” 和 “with her” 等字群。
