[J-29]   The Name of the Snake

A crowd of people gathered around a snake charmer and paid him money to watch his show.  As usual, he played strange music with his flute and the snake bobbed its head.  Then it grew bigger and coiled around the man's arms, legs, and whole body. As usual, the man bragged, You see, the serpent is entirely under my power.

But this time the reptile coiled the man's body so tightly that the man was short of breath and unable to play his flute. The snake's grasp became tighter and tighter. What is the name of the snake? asked one of the crowd, not knowing the charmer was being squeezed to death.

Sin! the sinner breathed out his last.
