She was daughter of Minos and sister of Phaedra.   She fell in love with Theseus at first sight when he and other young victims were paraded to the Labyrinth to be devoured by the Minotaur.   With a ball of thread to give him the clue, she helped Theseus escape from the Labyrinth after he battered the monster to death.   Theseus had promised to marry her, but he abandoned her on the island of Naxos instead of carrying her back to Athens.   Dionysus found her and comforted her, and she found solace in his love.

2.      She fell in love with Theseus at first sight:她见就爱上 Theseus.  at first sight:一看见时。

3.      when he and other young victims were paraded to the Labyrinth:当他和其它年轻的牺牲者被游行到迷宫去时。 当时 Athens 每年都要送ㄧ批年轻人当牺牲者,去给 Crete 岛上的 Minotaur 吃掉。而 Minos Daedalus 在岛上建一个迷宫 (labyrinth),把 Minotaur 和牺牲者都关在其中。 parade:游行。
