Sam is what you will call a “bum and scum.” One day, he met a fortuneteller, who foretold that he would inherit a large fortune soon. When Sam was leaving, the fortuneteller reminded him that he had not yet paid for the felicitous message. “Want bucks?” Sam derided. “Can't you foresee an empty pocket? Be my teller when I get the big fortune, and I'll pay you enough, man.”
