[J-171]  A Fell Fellow

A: Do you know why Tom Brown wrote the nursery rhymeI do not like thee, Doctor
     Fell”?

B: Yes, because the Dean asked him to translate Martial's epigrams and he didn't like it.

A: That was not the real reason.

B: Was it then because the Doctor had an unsightly fell of hair

A: Maybe.  But most probably because the Doctor was Fell, he was a fell fellow, and he often
     felled students with fell blows.

A: 或许。

(Dean
 epigrams)。Tom Brown 译到“I don't like you, Sabidius”那警句时,便干脆

I do not like thee, Doctor Fell.

The reason why I cannot tell.

But this I know, I know full well.

I do not like thee, Doctor Fell.

Mother Goose Rhymes
    中。

3. nursery rhyme(儿歌、童谣),fellv. felled, felled, 砍倒、弄倒 = make falladj.
