[J-187] A Disordered Order
While looking over the bill of fare at a restaurant, a physician noticed the waitress switch her hand to her rump and seemingly poke a finger at her anus to ease a pain or itch there. Before the waitress asked “Are you ready to order?” the doctor inquired into her case with deep concern: “Do you have hemorrhoids or piles?” This inquiry made her reply: “Can't you just order a dish on our menu?”
2. bill of fare = menu (菜单), physician = doctor (医生), poke (用尖物刺), switch (扳动、转动), itch (痒), hemorrhoids = piles (痔疮), rump = buttocks (臀部、屁股), ease = lessen (减轻)。
