[J-77]   What Is Cared About?

          在乎的是什么?

A young mother carried her suckling to a restaurant.  The hungry baby started crying and the mother immediately bared her bosom and suckled it then and there.  A waitress caught sight of this, came over, and advised her not to do the suckling.

What's wrong, may I know? the mother shouted out with chagrin.  Do you think it odd to feed a starving baby?  Do you think it indecent to give a child the breast?

The waitress pointed to a sign in the restaurant and explained: Madam, we only forbid anyone to bring in and eat anything other than what we serve here.

[译注]

那女服务生指向餐厅里的一张告示,然后说明:「夫人,我们只禁止任何人带进来这里吃任何不是我们供应的东西。」
