The great literary man Mark Twain was invited to make a speech at a small town. Before making it he went to a barbershop to have a haircut.
“You do not look native-born. You must be foreign here. But you're lucky. Mark Twain is making a speech at the Town Hall this evening.” The barber gave this tip zealously.
“Then I'll go and audit with patience,” Mark Twain assured the barber with his usual humor.
The barber then warned him: “Sure, you must be patient. The tickets have all been sold out. You can only stand somewhere listening.”
“No problem. I'll stand somewhere speaking, too,” Mark Twain assured the barber again smilingly.
