A GI returned to camp drunken. “There's no need for you to drink like this,” his captain lectured. “If you could stay sober, you might become a corporal. In fact, you might even become a sergeant. Wouldn't you like that?”
“Captain,” the soldier replied, “the fact is that when I get a few drops in me I feel like a colonel!”
